High-energy DJs, line dancing and a mechanical bull.

About PBR Nashville

PBR Nashville, full name PBR Cowboy Bar, opened in October 2023 inside the Nashville Live! complex on 2nd Avenue, in the restored historic building that previously held the George Jones museum. It is the 14th location of the PBR Cowboy Bar brand, which is tied to Professional Bull Riders.

The bar occupies a floor of the complex, around 10,000 square feet, set up as a Western-themed nightclub with two large bars, VIP booths with bottle service, and a mix of DJs and live music. It also has a mechanical bull, which is the feature people come for and the thing that separates it from the live-band honky-tonks on Broadway proper. The format leans more nightclub than honky-tonk, and the crowd skews younger and party-focused. VIP tables and booths are bookable.

PBR is the pick if you want a Western-branded club night with a mechanical bull and DJ energy rather than a cover band. It sits on 2nd Avenue rather than Broadway, so it pairs naturally with the other 2nd Ave venues. Country-music traditionalists will want the older rooms; this one is built for a different kind of night.
