LOWER BROADWAY · NASHVILLE
322 Broadway, Nashville, TN
A multi-level bar and restaurant with daily live music on Broadway.
Margaritaville Nashville opened in November 2010 at 322 Broadway, on the corner of 4th, in a restored three-story historic building. It is part of the Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville brand, so this is a national lifestyle chain rather than an independent Nashville room, and it does not hide that.
What it offers that nothing else on Broadway does is the theme. The bar calls its style Conky-Tonkin, a deliberate mash-up of Caribbean beach bar and Southern honky-tonk, and the place commits to it, right down to a stairway painted to look like piano keys. There are three stages, four bars, a retail boutique, and roughly 400 seats across two floors of dining, so it functions as a full restaurant as much as a music venue. The crowd is families and tourists during the day and a group-heavy party crowd at night. It takes dining reservations, which most honky-tonks do not.
Margaritaville is the pick if you want food, frozen drinks, and a break from straight country, or if you are with a group that includes people who do not want a honky-tonk at all. Purists will pass. Everyone else gets a reliable, reservation-friendly option with something for a mixed group.
