PRINTERS ALLEY · NASHVILLE
162 Printers Alley, Nashville, TN
Live music seven days a week in Printers Alley.
Alley Taps is tucked into Printers Alley at 162, on the quieter side of the lane away from the Broadway crush. It bills itself as Nashville’s original gin mill, and the room backs that up. This is a single intimate space with one stage and one bar, no floors stacked on top, no rooftop, none of the scale that defines the big Broadway venues.
The focus here is beer and bourbon. There are eighteen taps, most of them local, a deep bourbon list, and a daily five-dollar pour on boutique wines. Happy hour, Monday through Friday, runs two-for-one on draft beer. There is no food served and none allowed, so come fed. The crowd is a blend of locals and visitors who wanted live music without shouting over a packed three-floor bar.
Alley Taps is the move when the Broadway noise gets to be too much and you want to actually hear the band and the person next to you. It is small, low-key, and built around good beer rather than spectacle. Skip it if you are after a big party night, and seek it out if you are not.
The live-music lineup for Alley Taps is part of the Bars on Broadway schedule, refreshed every morning and night. Check tonight’s Broadway lineup →
