About The Spot by Dre and Snoop

The Spot by Dre and Snoop is one of the most unusual venues downtown, because it is a hip-hop room in the middle of a country district. It is owned by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg and tied to their Still G.I.N. gin brand. It opened in April 2025 as the Still G.I.N. Lounge and has since been rebranded as The Spot, so you may still see both names in listings.

The venue sits in the restored lower-level catacombs of the historic Nashville Live! building at 128 2nd Avenue North. It is a dimly lit, upscale cocktail lounge with plush seating and dark wood, built around live DJs playing 1990s rap and hip-hop. The drink menu is anchored by cocktails made with the owners’ Still G.I.N. The crowd is people who wanted hip-hop, craft cocktails and a lounge night rather than a cover band and a honky-tonk floor.

The Spot is the clear pick when you want a break from country entirely. There is very little like it on or around Broadway, and the West Coast hip-hop angle plus a real cocktail program make it a genuine change of pace on a night out downtown.
