LOWER BROADWAY · NASHVILLE
300 Broadway, Nashville, TN
Blake Shelton’s bar and entertainment venue on Lower Broadway.
Ole Red Nashville opened in June 2018 on Lower Broadway, a reported twenty-million-dollar project. It is tied to Blake Shelton, but the more telling detail is the other partner: Ryman Hospitality Properties, the company that owns the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium. That backing gives Ole Red a more produced, hospitality-company feel than the independently run honky-tonks.
The venue runs five floors across roughly 26,000 square feet. The first two are performance space built around a main stage, with an upstairs mezzanine bar and restaurant, a dance floor, and VIP booths. On top is a 6,000-square-foot rooftop called The Lookout. The stage programming is more structured than the all-day free-for-all of a traditional honky-tonk. The crowd is tourists, Blake Shelton and country fans, and groups.
Ole Red takes VIP table reservations, sold in two-hour blocks with a server, a reserved table by the band, and line-skip, which is worth it for a group that wants a guaranteed spot. Come here for a polished, full-service entertainment complex with food and a rooftop. If you prefer a rougher, more spontaneous honky-tonk, the older rooms down the street will feel more real to you.
