3 bars, 3 stages – live music 7 days a week.

About Honky Tonk Central

Honky Tonk Central opened in 2011 on the corner of 4th and Broadway, in a building that dates to 1900. It is owned by Steve Smith, whose Tootsie’s Entertainment group also runs Tootsie’s, Rippy’s and Kid Rock’s, so it is a professionally operated room rather than a one-off.

The layout is three floors, three stages and three bars, with a capacity around 840. The first floor and the mezzanine both look down onto the main stage, which keeps the energy stacked. This is a high-volume, party-forward honky-tonk, and it has been one of the busiest rooms on the street for years, reportedly pulling around twenty million dollars in revenue in a single year. The crowd is heavy on tourists, large groups and bachelorette parties. There is a VIP room available for private-event reservations.

Honky Tonk Central is one of the largest honky-tonks on Broadway that does not carry a celebrity name, and it earns its spot purely on live music across three stacked stages. Come here for a loud, classic, multi-floor honky-tonk night with a group. It does that one thing, and it does it well.
