Nashville’s new Nissan Stadium opens in 2027, seats 60,000 fans under a translucent dome, and sits a 15-minute walk from the neon of Lower Broadway. It will host Super Bowl LXIV in February 2030. The new stadium is going up on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, directly next to the current open-air Nissan Stadium, which gets demolished once the new one opens. Construction broke ground on February 29, 2024.
Capacity is 60,000 seats across 1.7 million square feet, with roughly 170 luxury suites and an artificial turf field. The roof is a fixed translucent ETFE dome, so the building is fully enclosed and climate-controlled year round. Manica Architecture designed it, the same firm behind Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with the Tennessee Builders Alliance handling construction.
The price tag is $2.1 billion. The Titans are putting in $840 million, the State of Tennessee $500 million, and Metro Sports Authority bonds cover $760 million, repaid through seat licenses, stadium taxes, and a hotel tax. The Titans signed a 30-year lease.
The target is completion in early 2027, with the stadium open for the 2027 Titans season. Construction has stayed on schedule, and local reporting in March 2026 put the building under a year from completion.
Beyond Titans home games, the stadium will host Tennessee State Tigers football and the Music City Bowl, plus the winter concert tours that currently skip Nashville’s outdoor-only stadium. Same as the old one: right across the river. From Broadway and 1st Avenue you cross the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge and reach the stadium campus in about 15 minutes on foot. This is what makes Nashville different from almost every other NFL city: the stadium’s front door is a walkable bridge away from 30+ honky-tonks with free live music. Pre-game and post-game, the party is on Lower Broadway.
It gets torn down. Demolition of the 1999 stadium starts after the new building opens, and the land becomes part of the East Bank redevelopment: housing, parks, and a riverfront boulevard around the stadium. For visitors, the walk from Broadway to the stadium gets better every year, not worse.
Hotel inventory near the bridge sells out first for marquee events. For Super Bowl LXIV, booking will start years out, and downtown and SoBro rooms closest to the stadium walk will go first.
