Rooftops have become one of the defining features of Lower Broadway. Nearly every multi-floor bar on the strip now puts a bar on its roof, and they are not all the same. Here is which rooftop to pick depending on what you want out of it.
For the view
Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row promotes its rooftop as the highest on Lower Broadway, with a clear sightline across downtown. Acme Feed & Seed, at the river end of Broadway, has a rooftop that Nashville Scene readers have repeatedly voted the best in the city, and it is the only one with an actual view of the Cumberland River.
For the biggest rooftop party
Jason Aldean’s Kitchen and Rooftop Bar bills its My Kinda Party rooftop as the largest rooftop patio on Broadway. Ole Red runs a 6,000-square-foot rooftop called The Lookout. Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk and Luke’s 32 Bridge both top out with rooftops above their multi-floor party buildings. These are loud, busy, and exactly what most people picture for a Broadway rooftop night.
For a rooftop with real food
If you want to eat up top, Acme Feed & Seed runs a full menu, and Lucky Bastard Saloon puts a Nashville hot chicken shack on its roof, so you can get the city’s signature dish without coming back downstairs.
For something a little different
Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa tops its Tex-Mex cantina with a fourth-floor rooftop and a margarita list to match. Friends in Low Places, Garth Brooks’ bar, runs a beach-themed rooftop called The Oasis that deliberately breaks from the country theme below it.
Opening soon
Kane Brown’s On Broadway, which opened in May 2026, has a rooftop bar called Dusk set to open later in the summer of 2026. It was not yet open at the time of writing.
Practical notes
Rooftop access is generally free, the same as the rest of the bar. They are weather-dependent and they fill up fast on weekend nights, so go early if a rooftop is the point of your evening. You can find all of these in the venue directory.
