Broadway gets a new bar roughly every six weeks. Some last a decade. Some are gone in six months. Visitors who arrive without an updated list end up at last year’s spots.
A guide to what’s new in 2026 and what’s worth visiting.
Bar Rōka, 1904 Broadway. Opened January 2026. Japanese-influenced cocktail bar with a strict cocktail program. Real bartenders, mocktail menu better than 80% of Broadway’s full cocktail menus. Worth it.
The Honky Tonk Highway (Carrie Underwood’s place at 318 Broadway, expected fall 2026). The next big celebrity venue. Worth one visit in its first 90 days. TBD long-term.
The Smokin Pig at 313 Broadway. BBQ restaurant with full bar. Food is the headline. Worth it for food.
Riverfront Tavern. Decent but not differentiated. Acme does the same thing better one block over. Pass.
Boot Country at 200 Broadway. Boot shop with a bar. Marketing gimmick. Pass on the bar.
The Music Box on Demonbreun. 100-seat songwriter venue. Worth it for music fans. Reservations needed.
Honky Tonk Central added a fourth-floor lounge (inconsistent execution). Robert’s expanded its kitchen (same menu, faster). Whiskey Row redid the rooftop. The Joseph added a second rooftop bar. Acme added Sunday late-brunch until 4 PM.
The Stage on Broadway closed late 2025. Multi-decade institution.
Several smaller bachelorette-flagship venues from the 2020s have closed or pivoted.
Mosaic Cocktail Bar in Germantown. Serious cocktail program. Reservations for weekends.
The Honey Den in East Nashville. Local mead and honey-based drinks. Different from any other Nashville bar.
The Strangler Cocktail Lounge in 12 South. 30-seat speakeasy. Reservation required.
Most fail within 18 months. Successful ones land on differentiation (Bar Rōka isn’t another honky-tonk). Celebrity names are a mixed bet. Food upgrades since 2024 are real.
If you have one Broadway night and want new stuff: Bar Rōka first. The Smokin Pig if you need substantial food. The Joseph’s third-floor rooftop for variety. Honky Tonk Highway in its first year for novelty. Everything else, your standard Broadway rotation still wins.
Broadway in 2026 has one genuinely new venue worth your time (Bar Rōka), a few solid food additions, and a wave of celebrity-name additions that are forgettable.
